Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

This policy explains what information devcohn.com collects when you visit it or write to us, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It covers this website only: software we build or run for clients is covered by its own agreements and notices.

Who we are

This website is run by DEVCOHN Development & Consulting Honduras, S. de R.L. de C.V. (“DEVCOHN”, “we”), Boulevard Morazán, Edificio Torre Agalta, Piso 11, Local 1101, Tegucigalpa, Francisco Morazán 11101, Honduras. For anything in this policy, write to us at hello@devcohn.com.

What we collect

The site has no user accounts or forms. We collect:

  • Usage analytics. The pages you view, the page that brought you here, the links and buttons you click, the option you choose in the chat on the home page, and the language you switch to. Along with that: your browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and an approximate location (country and city) worked out from your IP address. The text you type in the home-page chat is not sent to us; we only record which option it matched.
  • A random identifier stored in a cookie and in your browser’s local storage, so we can tell repeat visits apart. It is not linked to your name or email address.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical details of each request (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser) to run and protect the site.
  • Emails you send us. If you write to us, we receive your name, your email address and whatever you include in the message.

Why we use it

  • Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site and improve it.
  • Server logs, to keep the site running and secure.
  • Emails, to reply to you and, if we end up working together, to manage that relationship.

We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

Cookies

Our analytics tool, PostHog, sets one first-party cookie (its name starts with ph_) and keeps the same identifier in local storage. It lasts up to a year and is used only for analytics. The site uses no advertising cookies.

You can turn analytics off for this browser with the button below; your browser remembers that choice until you clear this site’s data. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The site works the same without them.

Analytics in this browser

Who receives it

We share data only with the providers that run the site for us, and with authorities when the law requires it:

  • PostHog, Inc. (analytics). Data goes through our own subdomain, a.devcohn.com, and is stored on PostHog’s servers in the United States. PostHog’s privacy policy.
  • Google (Google Fonts). Your browser downloads the site’s fonts from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser details. Google’s privacy policy.
  • Our hosting and email providers, which process data on our behalf to serve the site and run our mailbox.

The links to X, LinkedIn and GitHub take you to those sites, where their own privacy policies apply.

Data outside Honduras

PostHog and Google process data in the United States, and our other providers may also process it outside Honduras.

How long we keep it

  • Analytics: for as long as it helps us understand how the site is used.
  • Server logs: for the short period our hosting provider keeps them.
  • Emails: as long as we need them to handle your request and any work that follows, and as long as our accounting or legal obligations require.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Write to hello@devcohn.com and we will reply within 30 days.

Analytics data is not linked to your name, so to find yours we may ask for the identifier stored in your browser’s cookie. To stop analytics from collecting anything more, turn it off in the Cookies section.

Children

This site is meant for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
